C. Desta Pratama is a PhD candidate with the Environmental Economics and Natural Resources Group and the Environmental Policy Group, Section Economics, Wageningen University & Research. His research explores how institutional roles and decision-making dynamics shape the allocation, effectiveness, and sustainability of funding for Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in Indonesia. He maps the national architecture and characteristics of blue finance flows, evaluates the impact of funding on marine conservation and socio-economic outcomes, investigates how stakeholder interactions drive resource allocation decisions, and examines institutional adaptations to build sustainable financing mechanisms for MPAs. His research is supervised by Andries Richter, Machiel Lamers, and Lisa Becking (WUR).
