EconSES welcomed Dr. Jorge Montero Mestre from the Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) as a visiting researcher. During his visit, he collaborated with EconSES researchers on topics at the intersection of environmental and resource economics, political economy, and applied econometrics, with a particular focus on the governance of common-pool resources, conservation policies, and fisheries. His stay strengthened the long-standing collaboration between EconSES and the Universidad de los Andes and provided opportunities for discussions with staff and students on the application of causal inference, remote sensing, and geospatial methods to environmental policy evaluation.
