I am a PhD candidate with the Environmental Economics and Natural Resources (ENR) Group, Section Economics, Wageningen University and Research. My supervisors are Andries Richter from ENR group, Wopke van der Werf from the Crop Systems Analysis Group and Nico Heerink from the Development Economics Group. My research focuses on agricultural groundwater sustainability in China. I study groundwater policy documents and policy discourse through text-mining and content analysis methods, as well as how smallholder farmers perceive groundwater depletion and respond through water-saving practices. My research aims to contribute to a better understanding of the social and policy dimensions of sustainable groundwater management.
