Behavior in the Commons
Many environmental challenges involve the management of shared natural resources, where individual decisions collectively determine sustainability outcomes. Our research investigates how human behavior, social norms, and institutions influence cooperation and resource use in common-pool resources. Using experimental methods, field studies, and policy analysis, we explore mechanisms that can foster collective action and improve the governance of shared social-ecological systems.
